What qualifications does your remedial massage therapist have?
Jordan holds a Certificate IV in Massage, a Diploma of Remedial Massage, level 1 and 2 dry needling, has completed various strapping and cupping courses, and has been working in the industry since 2021. Massage and Myotherapy Australia, of which Jordan is a member of, defines remedial massage therapists as members who are "trained to assess and treat muscles, tendons, ligaments and connective tissue and treat injuries and soreness. They employ a variety of treatments for use in pain management of chronic musculoskeletal conditions, postural conditions, sporting and occupational injuries. To determine where to treat patients effectively, remedial therapists must have a working knowledge of human anatomy, physiology and pathophysiology."
Can I claim your services on my Private Health Insurance?
Yes, as long as you have remedial massage as an extra. Our remedial massage therapist is a registered provider, so while we don't have a HICAPS machine in the office, we can provide you with a receipt so you can manually claim reimbursement with your health fund.
Your booking system asks for a credit card, can I book without this?
Of course! We understand that not everyone wants to keep their credit card details on file. To book without saving a credit card please email, message on social medial, or call us, so we can book you in manually. Please note that as we do not have an EFTPOS machine if you do not have a credit card on file you will have to pay by cash or direct deposit at your appointment.
How much does a remedial massage cost?
Our 60 minute remedial massage is $100, with 40 minutes priced at $80 (that's cheaper than most shopping center massages!).
What should I wear for my appointment?
It's recommended to wear comfortable clothing, but you may be asked to undress to your underwear for the massage, with towels provided for draping to ensure modesty and comfort. Your therapist will discuss options with you to ensure you are comfortable.
Will the massage hurt?
Remedial massage can involve deeper pressure, which may cause some discomfort. The pressure during the therapy session can be adjusted based on the modality and your condition. Communication with your therapist is key to ensuring the pressure is adjusted to your comfort level.
